Animal, Vegetable, Mineral?

Animal, Vegetable, Mineral? was a 1950s television game show in the UK. In every episode, Sir David Attenborough would present a panel of archeologists, art historians and natural history experts with an artefact from a well-known museum. The panel of authorities would then have to identify the object correctly to win points. Things became more tricky when forged items were introduced to the game to throw them off.

Animal, Vegetable, Mineral? is also a popular way to kick off the parlour game ‘Twenty Questions’. The first clue is whether the object in mind is part of the animal, vegetable or mineral kingdom, the rest is up to the players to guess through a string of yes-or-no questions.

In a series of still lifes, we got in on the guessing game.
